Stansted Airport taxi operator Checker Cars has a reservation desk on the international arrivals concourse. Being the only taxis based at Stansted airport they have to pay BAA a commission on all taxi fares which they add to the cost of your journey this means the average price is 20% higher than the local Stansted taxi firms. Checkers Cars are the only taxi company at Stansted airport that are allowed to pick up outside the terminal, all other taxis have to collect you from the short stay car park.If you are traveling to London Stansted Airport we would advise you to book your taxi with one of the local Stansted taxi companies.

Stansted Airport Trains

Stansted Express is the fast and convenient way to Stansted Airport from central London (London Liverpool Street), with trains departing every 15 minutes. Also calls at Bishops Stortford, Harlow Town and Tottenham Hale (change here for Victoria Line). Average journey time: 46 minutes.
